In this Sunday's Gospel, Jesus teaches us the two greatest commandments: to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to love our neighbor as ourselves.
These commandments remind us that our love for God must be reflected in the way we treat others. Prayer and worship are essential to our faith, but true love for God also means forgiving those who hurt us, caring for the poor, welcoming the stranger, and showing kindness to those who feel forgotten.
Loving our neighbor does not always require great sacrifices. Sometimes it begins with a listening ear, a word of encouragement, or a simple act of compassion. Through these everyday gestures, we make God’s love present in our homes, our parish, and our community.
As we receive Christ in the Eucharist, may we be strengthened to share His love with everyone we meet. Let us ask ourselves: Does the way I treat others reflect my love for God?
