Safe Environment
The Church has a serious duty to protect children and vulnerable adults. These reporting resources are provided for safety, accountability, and care for victims.
If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911. Otherwise, report known or suspected abuse or neglect to the Oklahoma DHS Statewide Abuse Hotline. If the allegation involves clergy, Archdiocesan personnel, or someone representing the Catholic Church, then also call the Archdiocesan Pastoral Response Hotline.

If a child or vulnerable adult is in immediate danger, call 911 before making other reports.

Reporting is mandatory when the victim is under age 18. To report known or suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult, call the Oklahoma DHS Statewide Abuse Hotline. It is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and callers may remain anonymous.

Volunteer Requirements
Every volunteer age 18 or older must meet the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City Safe Environment requirements for children. This includes religious educators, choir members, ushers, lectors, Eucharistic ministers, Boy Scout leaders, and anyone else who may have contact with children.
Training is completed online each year. The annual training cycle begins August 1 and continues through the school year.
