Anniversary Memorial Masses Remembering Father Linh - September 19th and 20th

As we mark the first anniversary of the death of our beloved Father Linh, we pause with grateful hearts to remember his life and priestly ministry. His gentle spirit, humility, kindness, and love for God’s people touched the lives of many.

On this anniversary, let us give thanks for the gift of Father Linh’s life and continue to pray for the repose of his soul, and for his Mom and Dad & Family. May his example of faith, humility, and love inspire us to draw closer to Christ.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

2026 Catholic Charities Campaign

The 2026 Catholic Charities Campaign will take place next weekend in our parish.

Your generous support will transform the lives of others to offer dignity, hope, and healing to those most in need.

As in the past, an in-pew commitment process will take place next weekend, September 19-20. All who have not received the mailing, or have not had a chance to respond to it, will be asked to consider making a generous gift to support the ministries and services provided by Catholic Charities.

Forgive as We Have Been Forgiven

In today’s Gospel, Peter asks Jesus how many times he must forgive someone who sins against him. Jesus answers, “Not seven times but seventy-seven times.” Through the parable of the unforgiving servant, Jesus reminds us that God’s mercy is far greater than anything we could ever earn or repay.

We all need forgiveness, and we all know what it means to be hurt by others. Forgiving does not mean pretending that the hurt did not happen or ignoring the need for justice. Rather, forgiveness frees our hearts from resentment and allows God’s healing grace to work within us.

Every time we pray, “Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us,” we are reminded that the mercy we receive from God is meant to be shared with others. Sometimes forgiveness takes time and requires prayer, patience, and grace.

This week, let us bring our hurts and difficult relationships before the Lord. May He give us the courage to forgive, the humility to seek forgiveness, and the grace to remember how generously He has forgiven us. May the mercy we receive from Christ become the mercy we offer to others.
