In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus asks his disciples, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answers with faith: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus asks the same question of each of us. It is easy to know about Jesus, but he invites us to truly know him, love him, and follow him. Our faith is not simply something we profess with our lips; it should be reflected in how we live, forgive, serve, and love others.
Peter was not perfect, yet Jesus entrusted him with a great mission. This reminds us that God can work through us despite our weaknesses. What matters is our willingness to trust him and say yes.
As we celebrate the Eucharist today, may we renew our faith in Jesus and allow him to become the center of our lives. May our words and actions show that we truly believe he is the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Lord Jesus, strengthen my faith and help me follow you with a faithful and loving heart. Amen.
