What to Expect
Visiting Mass for the first time
You may follow along quietly.
Catholic Mass includes standing, sitting, kneeling, Scripture readings, prayers, and the Eucharist. It is okay if you do not know every response yet.
Children are welcome.
Families are part of parish life. If your children are learning how to be at Mass, you are not alone. Keep bringing them to Jesus.
Holy Communion is sacred.
Catholics receive Holy Communion when they are properly prepared and in a state of grace. If you are not receiving, you are welcome to remain in the pew and pray.
